Our Minis classes run on Saturday mornings from 09:00am - 10:30am for children aged 4-6 (Reception & Year 1).

 

Children have classes in Drama, Singing and Dance.

Our Minis Sessions are carefully designed to give children the best start they can have in the Performing Arts whilst keeping the main focus on confidence building and having fun! 

​

In Drama students play lots of different drama games which are all designed to teach them the basic techniques of acting. Students begin to work on improvisation and characterisation as well as exploring physicality and vocal work. 

​

In Dance students learn the fundamentals of dance technique. We teach core dance moves that will give them a head start in future dance classes, work on rhythm, co-ordination and performance. Our Minis Dance Classes are mini versions of our Main School Dance classes.- Minis start with. warm up including gentle stretching, moving across the floor learning technique and we always finish off with a fun routine.

Our Singing classes begin with a fun warm up working on intonation and diction before moving on to learning a song in either Musical Theatre or Pop style. We encourage students to work up to singing solo in class as it is so fantastic for their confidence.

Our Minis have several Performance opportunities throughout the year including a Christmas Showcase and Summer Show.

We also have a Singing Competition every other year (The Academy Factor) which lots of our Minis enjoy taking part in!
